[Song List] A Very Starkid Album
This is a song list for A Very Potter Sequel and what appears in the official album and what, unfortunately, does not. It seems that officially they did not release any songs on iTunes that could lead to any repercussions from Warner Bros. and thus songs that explicitly mention 'Harry Potter' have not been released. Here's to hoping for them being added as free songs from Starkid's website.

A Very Potter Sequel Song list

Those marked with + are on the official Starkid album on iTunes.

It's Not Over Yet
Harry Freakin' Potter
To Have A Home +
Hermione Can't Draw/Remus Can't Sing
The Coolest Girl +
Gettin' Along
Let The Games Begin +
Those Voices +
Guys Like Potter
You Were Never My Lover (Stutter) +
No Way +
Days of Summer +
Goin' Back To Hogwarts

Songs Additional to the OST:

Not Alone (AVPM. Darren Criss.)
Sami (White Lie. Darren Criss.)
Even Though (Me and My Dick. Darren Criss.)
Sango Song (Spoof Song? Ensemble)
Liam's Got a Phone Call (Spoof Song? Joe Walker)

('Not Alone' and 'Sami' are identical to Darren Criss' renditions on the Human EP.)

I loved these songs :)

Yeah. I was happy with the content of the OST but upset that That Potter Guy and some of the others weren't on there. Here's to hoping for a release from somewhere!

I hope they release the other AVPS songs for free. Someone will rip the audio off of YouTube if they don't, but it'd be nice to have versions without audience noise.

I really enjoyed all the music - it's easy to see how much the team has grown as both script and songwriters over the last year.

Yeah. I mean there's a split between me and my friend over this musical, but I feel this musical had exceptionally strong writing and music, even compared to the original.

This musical was much stronger in overall quality than the first. I think that's because the first one was just a fun project for family, friends, and fellow students; they didn't really expect it to reach over a million people. You can see that especially with the video for the first one - the camerawork and editing isn't that great, but at that time they just wanted to get it online to share with what they thought was a few people.

Now they know that the sequel is going to have a huge audience so they put more care into it. I don't know how many fans have donated money, but I can tell that they had more financial support this time too. (lol, maybe Red Vines sponsored them?)

I hope so too. It's not a money issue with me, but iTunes stopped working for me, and Amazon.com only allows American customers to buy MP3s. :/

See, I had the opposite reaction- I actually enjoyed AVPM better than AVPS. To me, it felt like they'd lost the spontaneity that made a lot of the first one so enjoyable. In a lot of places, it felt like they were trying too hard to be funny. And some of the joke were . . . ehh. (Diaper jokes? Really? And I have no idea what they were going for with Umbridge.) It wasn't bad, but in my mind, it doesn't hold up to the first.

I think they'll release the other songs for free. They're good at pleasing the fans, and I doubt they're not planning to release the rest of the songs.

All of my favorite songs were released on the StarKid album, but I already have all the other ones (except Sango Song. No clue what that is). But I still REALLY want the other ones, especially "It's Not Over Yet". BWAH.

Sango Song sounds like part vocal warmup, part Sango trolling everyone. XD

That's what I thought it was.

Haha, yeah, I just listened to the preview of it. Oh Sango. :D

I think they will eventually too.

I was looking in my bank account earlier today and I said to myself, "...Well, I guess I don't need to eat until my next paycheck." Curse you Starkid and Darren!

I know the feeling.

...And of course, all the songs I want aren't being given away for free. :( Curse my living outside of the U.S.!
Kategrownupneko on July 23rd, 2010 11:52 pm (UTC)
It is available outside the US as far as I can tell on iTunes. For Amazon downloads, I guess you'd have to get someone to purchase for you and then send you the files or something.

I bought it on amazon.co.uk, and I've just had a look and it's also on amazon.de. I don't know about any other derivations but it's worth a look.
